WCB Wafer Style Resilient Seated Butterfly Valves DN200 PN16

Butterfly valves are quarter turn valves ideal for on/off operations as well as modulating flow.

This valve is rated for 16 bar non-hazardous fluids and is operated by a hand wheel.

Please note that the maximum pressure may deviate based on the medium type so carefully check the datasheet.

The nominal diameter is 200 mm (8 inch) and is mounted to your system by an wafer type flange.

The Cast iron (GGG40) housing makes it suitable for higher pressure and temperatures then the standard GG25.

The GGG40 polyamide coated disc is the standard option The NBR seal allows for a temperature range of 5°C - 85°C.

  • The hand operation allows for easy operation and understanding.

  • Relative low torque to switch position compared to ball valves.

  • High Kv-value because fluid can flow in straight line.

  • It has a small construction length in relation to the 200 mm (8 inch) diameter compared to a similar size ball valve.

Types of Butterfly Valves Based on Body Construction

Based on the type of ends of the body butterfly valves are available in following types.

  • Both Flanged Ends

  • Wafer Type Ends

  • Lug Type Ends

  • Butt Welded Types Ends

Water Type

The wafer body is placed between pipe flanges, and the flange bolts surround the valve body. A wafer type butterfly valve is easy to installed but it cannot be used as an isolation valve.

Seat Types

Butterfly valves can be metal-to-metal seated, soft seated, or with a fully lined body and disc. The first image is of a soft seated fully lined body and disc valve. Second, is a soft seat with metal disk and the third is metal to metal seat type valve.
